hii all !!

I got my VISA on 23rd June in Delhi .. i

When i got rejected for the first time . my confidence was very low ..
IRONICALLY wen i went for the second time .. i was confronted by the
same guy who rejected me in the first attempt !!!!

he asked " So u had problem telling y did u choose this university ? "

i said " yes sir "

He told me to explain y i want to goto this university . I was
prepared this time. I covered all the points ikn my answer and he was
very impressed.

then again he asked me " who i s gonna sponsor ur education ? "

i told " my parents "

he asked wat r they ?
told the answer

then asked " DO U PLAN TO TAKE ANY EDUCATIONAL LOAN or something ?

i told " NO " very confidently and said my mom and dad have enough
financial resources to fund my education."

he started typing in computer for 15 secs.. and told ." i m issuing ur
VISA sir"

that was one of the greatest moments .. i was really thrilled and a
sense of achievement flushed in me.

if i can be of any assistance to anyone i will be more than happy.

Hi friends,

I m always been a silent member in this group and waited for the day
to put my experience and the day has come finally i got the visa for
WESTRN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY.

I stood in the line at 07:45 and had to wait one hour to enter the
main gate. It was quite a humid day .Then the volunteer has asked me
to stand for the finger print scanning.After that i standed in another
line for interview.

ME: (Initially he is chatting with another VO who is besides to him he
is not watching me...... After some time he turned myside..)

ME: GUD MORNING SIR?

VO: VERY GOOD MORNING HOW ARE U?
ME: FINE ( submitted my I20 and passport)

VO: SHOW UR ACADS...
ME: (am taking out them out....he continued..)

VO: ALSO UR GRE/TOEFL.....
ME: (i submitted one by one....)

VO: DO U HAVE BACKLOGS
ME: NO

VO: NO BACK LOGS.....?
ME: NO SIR...(was impressed..)

VO: WATS UR AGGREGATE?
ME: 63.6% WITH FIRSTCLASS

VO: WHICH UNIVERSITY?

My appointment time is at 2:15 pm..I went to the consulate BY 1:45.

DONT GO HOURS BEFORE..THEY WILL ALLOW U ACCORDING TO THE SLOT TIME
ONLY..Just go 30 min before ur interview...its horrible there
man...U hav to stnd in long queue under the sun...its really
terrible..I was there is for 2hours under the sun..

I was interviewd at 6:00pm..Because there was some problem with
computers tht day..an my interview lasted about 30 sec...

Coming to interview...

I was inerviewd by boss of the embassy...HE IS VERY VERY JOVIAL..

For every 15 min..he will come and give some speech to the people
who r about to interview.(to just relax us...)its very funny..

At firsyt i was tensed very much thinking about visa and interviewrs

But once i reach main interview lobby..its quite different there..I
forgot all my tensions and i found very frndly environment there...

There will b 1 hr time in the lobby..so u can relax there...

DONT LISTEN TO RUMOURS LIKE NANCY,CROSING YELLOW LINES...THERE SI

Hello ppl,Well, its my turn to express my visa experience. I am very sorry for posting my visa experience a bit late. I had my visa interview on June 27th @ Chennai Consulate. First of all lemme introduce myself. This is Srinivasa Reddy from Hyderabad. My visa appointment time is at 2.45pm. I stood in line at 2pm, I was allowed, after security check-up, to pre-scanning lobby @ 4-45pm. There one lady checked my application, I-20, vfs fee receipt, interview appointment letter and kept it in a folder and given it to me. Then I was allowed to the main VISA lobby @ 5-50pm, I was asked to stand in a line. I stood in the counter no# 6. Here the VISA officer is an American Young Man in his late 20s ...looking like Ajay Devgan. I looks sooooo serious and even not replying to the students while wishing. By the time I came in to the line there are there are 4 members in the Q all are F1s. Well, first a girl was given VISA, next 2 boys got rejected then one guy got visa, and now the person just before to me was 221g victim. Now its my turn to face the Ajay Devagan.....My visa interview is cool and last in 2mints.Naani: Good evening sir! hi this is velagapudi suresh to univ of south alabama,mobile.profile:gre:1060toefl:243b.tech:58.31% with 4 backlogsmy visa interview is on 26th june at 10:30 am.i was there at the consulate at 09:20 am.i would suggest whoever is going to their visa be there before 1 hour of ur interview time.i was standing in the line.meanwhile people with slot at 10 & 10:15 passed me.after then people having 10:30 slot were called.i went and we have to show our passport & web appointment letter.then we'll be sent inside.there some security men will check our file.next we'll be sent to adjacent room where i have seated there for 15-20 mins.here they will take our passport,appointment letter,ds forms,sevis fee receipt,i-20 and they will keep them in another folder.it will be sent directly to the place where the interviews are conducted.after then i was asked to stand in a line after my docs were given in the first building.then i stood in the line for 30 mins.then we were sent to another building.this is the main buildingwhere the interviews will be conducted.i was asked to sit there for a few mins.meanwhile my folder came & my name was called.i took it & i was sent to finger scanning in counter no.8.now i was eagerly waiting for my chance to get into anyone of the lines.i just started to observe the v.os.in counter no 4 there was a man who looked like saddam hussain.i heard he was a bit dangerous.in counter no 6 there was a young american man.he is giving visas.in counter no 7 there was an american lady who was 28-35 years i think.she asking for a long time.in counter no 8 fingure scanning is taking place.in counter no 9 there was an american lady whos hair was black in colour.now i was sent to counter no 7 to that american lady whos hair colour was in golden colour.here goes my visa interview:me:hello mam.how ru v.o:fine thanku.how abt u?me:i am fine thanku mam.v.o:give me ur folder.me:sure mam(i gave it)v.o:why univ of south alabamame:elec eng is very gud in this univ ama.i was very much impressed with the research activities tat are being conducted by prof m.s.alam&drt.thomas.also joint proj are being conducted with wayne state univ and tuskegee univ.v.o:ok,which specialization.me:embedded systems mam.v.o:what is embedded sys.me:it deals with analysing the functionality of the hardware ckt by inserting the software program.v.o:ok.do u return back.me:yes mam.as fabcity is being established in hyd there are plenty of oppurtunities here.so definitely i will return back.v.o:what is the requirement of fabcity.me:2 lakhs mam(actually i dont know how much is the requirement but unknowingly it came from my mouth)v.o:is it true.me:yes mam.i too got astonished when i heard this fact mam.v.o:give me ur gre toefl acads reportsme:i gave themv.o:she looked after my gre toefl & acads & asked me why i had 3 back logs in 3-2 semme:i was conducting an industrial tour mamv.o:what is meant by an industrial tour.me:blah blah blahv.o:who is sponsoring ume:my parents mamv.o:what r theyme:blah blah blahv.o:any siblings me:blah blah blahthen came the golden wordsv.o:ok ur visa is approved u will get it in few daysme:thanku mam.have a nice daywhile saying these words i did not even see her face i rushed out of the consulate.thats it friends.its a bit long one but a very cool one.if any one had doubts feel free to contact me.any one to univ of south alabama,mobile also contact memy number is 9948293588

My Visa Experience : Got Visa Power : Mumbai Consulate : 19 June

Got Visa from Mumbai Counsulate on 19 June for Carnegie Mellon University
My interview was on 19 June at Mumbai Consulate at 8:15 AM. Going for
Carnegie Mellon University for MISM course. GRE / TOEFL 1200/267. 2
yrs of Exp at L&T Infotech.
Reached Consulate at 7:30 AM with my dad. Already there was small
queue. Most of them were elderly ppl (40 +). Very few students.
And so many Patels (he he this is bound to happen at mumbai
counsulate).I stood up in the queue. A lady standing saw my pink
receipt n interview letter (For time) and let me in the second queue
where security person was continuously announcing that "If you have
any electronic devices please keep them out including Digital Watches,
Mobiles etc." They were allowing about 10-15 ppl at a time. (Time 7:45
AM)
There was a second small queue (male and female separate) for security
check. They tell you to remove Belt, Wallet, Watch etc and put it on
table. I did that. and then time to walk through metal detector. I
crossed metal detector which started "Beap Beap". Security person told
me to come back and repeat the action but again it started beaping. I
was startled and was staring at Security person. He told remove you
Kada(Metal Bracelet) from hand. Ohh Oooopss.. I removed and walked
again. No beap.. Ohh god thanks !! Then he gave me a small Wooden
Block which signifies your security check done successfully. (7:50 AM)

Went inside. Was getting bit tensed. I stood up in second small queue
where they were distributing the forms (DS Forms) I submitted to VFS
before 5 days. They stappled Passport, I20 with DS forms and gave docs
in hand. They gave me pink token one they stappled and one they gave
me in hand.Many of my frds got visa for period of only 2 yrs so
worried, but on xeroxed I20 which VFS took period written was 60
Months so was relieved. (8 AM)

Now I was directed to queue at counter number 1 for finger printing
where White Cute Amrican Lady was standing. Bit longer queue. She was
also knowing Hindi bit. She was talking to some old ppl "Aapka Daay
haath rakhiye" then "Ab aapka Baya Haath Rakiye".

My turn came. She asked me my name. I told her and put my finger on
Finger print scanner. She told hey I am talking to you tell me whats
your name and dont put your hand on scanner until I tell you. I told
okay mam. And did as she said. She told okay now you can wait we ll
call you by your token number. (8:15 AM)
Set in second row and start observing counters. All counters except
counter number 2 had door and was similar to std booth. Only 3-4
counters were working having Africo-Amrican person on counter number
12 wearing T Shirt.. Most of places they were announsicg "XXX Patel
bhai and Family counter number 11 par aao (in gujju he he (go to
counter number 11).

And in 10 minutes I saw atleast 5-6 Patel family been called at
different different counters.

Sharp at 8:30 Some siren started and all counters started. And one by
one they started announcing "This is announcement from counter number
5 Token number XXX,XXX..... xome to counter number 5".And there was
some announsement by some counter and was having my token number and I
missed number of counter .... Ohhhh goddd.. Damn it.... asked person
seating next me which counter's announcement was last.. Nobody knew..
I used common sense and went to queue which just started forming next
to announcement. (:D) as I had observed just next to announcement ppl
rush at perticular counter. My counter was Counter number 2.

Unfortunately without that door which really prevents Noise of ppl..
there was some Indian American sweet Lady.

3 Ppl before me.

One lady with small kid... She was granted Visa
One old gentleman with his wife were going to meet their son.. Granted Visa
One guy f1... Rejected..

But I dunno at that point I was completely relaxed and ready to face
any questions..

She called me.....
Me: Good Morning Mam
VO: Good Morning
Me: How you are doing?
VO: Fine, tell me why you want to go to US?
Me: Blah Blah (Good education system, pratical oriented study, ll get
chance to study with students from diverse culture, ll help me to
become more competative) 10-12 seconds.
VO was not looking at me but was listening carefully.
VO: Okays. Its very expensive university.
Me: We have sufficient funds to cover my education. My parents and
Grand Father are sponsoring me. We have <<>> in Saving account and
<<>> in FD which is sufficient to cover my education
VO: What is Family income?
Me: My father annual income is <<>> and My family income is <<>>.
VO: Okay so Family Income = how many dollars?
Me: (Fumbled bit, recovered soon) Told..
VO: But your univ expense is much more than your annual income?
Me: My parents has done lot of saving.were saving quite a lot money
since they started working.
VO: Does that mean your parents are not spending at all?
Me: No, They spend money but at the same time they kept some money
aside for future use.
VO: Whats your sister doing?
Me: Shes studying in last yr <<>>
VO: So she ll get married soon right?
<Was not audible at all.>
Me: Sorry mam
VO: Repeated...
<<Still not audible :( lots of noise as counter 2 dint have any door>>
Me: No.. sorry mam.. i dint get you
VO: Repeated again
Me: (Listened Carefully) Yes in two years
VO: Then tell me your family ll sponsor her marriage? right?
Me: Yes
VO: So.
Me: If you keep aside funds required for my education we have
sufficient funds to support this event as well. Not only that even my
mother works and they have sufficient funds for these events.
VO: (Without any _expression) Okay I will issue you a Visa, your
passport will be couriered to you in couple of days.
Me: Thank you Madam. Have a nice day.
VO: U too.
Thats it.. (8:45 AM)
No need to open folder. all over in 60 seconds.. (gone in 60 seconds... he he)
I came out of consulate happily. gave wooden block back to security person..
My dad was on other side of road..
Just shown him Thumps UP....
and went to Mahalakshmi Temple..

VO:Why Master's?
ME:Mam...in our Under Graduation we learn the basics of our
subjects, now i want to upgrade my knowledge in my area of interest.

VO:What is your Under Graduation course(branch)?
ME:Electrical Mam.

VO:And what are you going to do in your Master's?
ME:Digital Signal Processing Mam.

VO:Can you explain about that?
ME:Yes Mam. DSP is ...................(for about 30sec)

VO:Ok,Who's paying for you?
ME:My Parents Mam.

VO:Whats your Father?
ME:..........said so and so....

VO:Whats his monthly income?
ME:(I forgot his Monthly income.....and i became very tensed, i
remembered the annual income and so i asked
her).....Mammmm...Monthly income or Annual income?

VO:(Looking at me seriously....)I just asked your Fathers monthly
income?
ME:Maammmm.....the Annual income is around Rs.9 lakhs and the
Monthly income comes to around Rs.27,000

total was ZERO as i did not attempt the Exams.....) Whats this? Y

ME:Mam......during the time of my Exams i met with an accident Mam
and got my leg fractured and so i could not attempt those but along

VO:(Returned back my Memos and asked...) What did you say about your
Fathers income?( what i said earlier about my Fathers income was all
wrong, i couldnt able to recollect his income)
ME:(Ah....i thought definitely am not going to get the VISA..and
said...) Maaammmmm.....I didn't say anything Mam....

VO:No...You said something...just say it again.....
ME:(I was then keeping my Memos in my file and thinking about what
to say.........then......)

VO:Thats ok.....you;'ll get your Passport in 3days by courier
ME:Thank You Mam......Thanks a lot Mam.....(And my mind was
blank...i didn't know how to react....i was not able to believe that
My VISA got Approved.....i really enjoyed the Moment...)

The Visa Officer,the lady was really very kind....she was very
polite.....i wish all of you get the same kind of VISA Officers.

Came out...met with my Dad....called to My Mother and Friends and
told them about my VISA Approval.......

Listen friends.......Just be confident in whatever you say, while
you enter the main interview building you need to sit there for a
minimum of 1hour,during that time What you have to do is...Just
observe the counters and the VISA Officers carefully...where are the
VISAs being given, who is the one whos not rejecting
many.....Observe those who are holding the Meroon(RED) folder(The F1
VISA Applicants) and then select the counter....the staff working
there will sned you to a particular counter but if you think that
that counter is quite dangerous then just ask for an excuse, go to
have the snacks or go to Bathroom, come back and then you can go to
another counter......And be carefull with the Financial documents,
these days there are many rejections regarding those...itseems the
VOs are stating that "this is a FAKE Document" and rejecting the
VISAs....so be carefull...and moreover its a mere LUCK....thats it.

ALL THE BEST to all who are going for the VISAs.....Hope for the
Best....go with a positive attitude that "I'll get my VISA"......

I got the visa for the university of NEW HAVEN .

My slot was at 1:30 and i m in the line by 12:30 and went inside at 2:45 and waited 2 hours more to go in to the main hall and i was made to sit in the chairs for the finger print scanning then i felt little bit tensed but some how tried to gain the confidence backand waiting for my turn.Then the volunteer has asked me to stand for the finger print scanning and wen i was in the line then they informed that the in terview will also be done at the same place.i went mad bcoz i never heard any comment about my VO. I was the 4th person in the line and he rejected 2F1 visas before and then next is my turn...........................................at 5:40 in the evening.

iam feeling heaven in my heart since then........

Today i recvd my passport with VISA stamping for 5 years........

Naveedh: sir, I have done my bachelors in information technology and in the course I was exposed to some of the subjects like computer organization, computer architecture ,computer networks and data base management systems , among which had a keen interest in computer networks, but in a course of time I realized that the knowledge  which I have gained in comp networks is not enough for me to make myself stand in the current day scenario of MNCs ,so I strongly feel that I need to do masters in computer networks.................................

Visa Exp..MS in Texas Dallas telecommunications

hii everyone, i got my visa on 29th june for the univ of texas at Dallas.

I stood in the line at 12 30 and had to wait till 2 30 to enter the main gate. It was quite a humid day and was perspiring profusely. Inside the main gate i thought it would be better but met with the same situation inside too. At 3 30 they were calling for people who have their time slot at 12 noon and i was surprised to find many a people waitin for the 12 o clock slot!! My visa slot was

at 2 45 and i was allowed into the main building at 5 45 or so. I

was standing all the time long. There was many people waitin in the

main lobby too. So i had to wait till 6 20 for my turn to be

interviewed. Here goes
